MedICI Platform

The Medical Imaging Challenge Infrastructure (MedICI) promotes innovation through collaboration and harness the ingenuity of the public. It is based on the Microsoft open-source project CodaLab and integrates the specialized image software such as ePad for DICOM images and caMicroscope for digital pathology whole-slide images. Other customizations were incorporated based on user input.

1. CodaLab is a powerful open source framework for running competitions that involve result or code submission.

   
   

2. ePad is a freely available quantitative imaging informatics platform, developed at the Rubin lab. This software handles the radiology annotations and metadata management.

   
   

3. caMicroscope, a web based annotation and visualization platform designed for digitized whole slide images. This software handles pathology annotations optimized for large bio-medical image data, with an emphasis on cancer pathology.

   
   
4. Docker Submissions: Rather than limited to code\data submissions, users can submit whole docker images.
   
5. Okta: "Identity for he internet", okta allows us to integrate federated identities into MedICI so we can hook up identity management databases to our software. No need to register, just login!
